June 23, 2026 - Lake Treatments

On June 23rd, 2026, Lake Lillinonah will be treated for Eurasian Milfoil and Hydrilla. The aquatic herbicide(s) to be used are: Sonar for the Control of Hydrilla at the Bridgewater town launch, and Tribune and/or ProcellaCOR for the control of Eurasian Milfoil at Upper Lillinonah in Bridgewater. There are no labeled restrictions for swimming, fishing, boating or water contact.

In the treatment areas, irrigation can recommence on June 30th, livestock water on June 24th and drinking for consumption on June 26th.  If you have any questions, please reach out to The Pond and Lake Connection at (203) 885-0184.

Treatment will be done at Poison Ivy Island, and north, up to Lover's Leap gorge for the control of invasive Hydrilla. One small section on the Shepaug River will also be treated for Hydrilla.

Barkwood Falls Cove and the shoreline of Lillinonah Drive will be treated for invasive Eurasian Milfoil.

If you need non-emergency help, call 911 and ask to be transferred to the Lake Authority at Brookfield Dispatch.
